About Me

This is my 3rd year at JAA. I have enjoyed growing and learning in this adventure called on-line learning! I believe strongly in school choice and letting families choose the school that works best for them. I have Bachelor Degrees in Germanics and European Studies from the University of Washington. I homeschooled my own children until high school; I am very committed to education. Born in WA, I moved to FL for my husband’s job & ended up living there for 10yrs. We recently moved back here to the west coast in order to be closer to our families and love northern California. When I’m not reading, I’m camping, skiing, hiking or biking with my family. We've driven cross-country roughly 20 times & explored all along the way! With so many wonderful classics it’s hard to choose a favorite but some that I enjoy are: My Side of the Mountain, Frankenstein, & Lord of the Rings.
