Welcome to Second Grade!

Dear Scholars and Parents,

 

What a wonderful year in 2nd grade this will be!  I am Mrs. Turner and I am delighted to be learning and growing with you during this 2023-2024 school year.  I've spent the last ten years working as a teacher; many years in private education, then as a long-term guest teacher at JAA, and now in 2nd grade for my third year here at the EDH campus! Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my husband and children, traveling, popcorn movie nights, good food, studying and learning, and cherishing what matters most.

 

This year will be full of all things true, good, and beautiful as we discover the classics together.  I am passionate about encouraging and inspiring my scholars to discover their personal missions and unique abilities every day in the classroom.  I feel my purpose is to help scholars prepare for and fulfill their purpose.  I hope to inspire them to become lifelong learners and I can't wait to read, write, and have great discussions with them throughout the year.

 

I hope you will join me in devotion to healing society, one child at a time, through demonstrating integrity, humility, virtue, creativity, morality, patriotism, and humanity... modeling the core values in all we do. Executing the mission and vision of this school is no small task, but I know we can achieve great things as we partner together to make this an incredible year!
