My name is Liz Dentzer and I'm thrilled to be a part of the elementary art program and the administrative team at John Adams Academy Roseville! My husband and I have two young boys. Trusten is in Second Grade and John is in First Grade here at JAA in Roseville! I am a professional working artist with a passion for art education who has been teaching elementary art for 15 years. I have a BA in fine arts (with an emphasis in graphic design, photography and art history) and an MAT (a Masters in the art of teaching) in interdisciplinary art education. I am so excited to be returning to John Adams Academy this year and can't wait to get to know your scholars and continue our strong, academically challenging classics-based art program. For the 2018-2019 school year I am primarily teaching TK-3rd grade art. My wonderful teaching partner, Mrs. Oliver, is teaching art to 4th-6th grade scholars. My favorite artists are Vincent VanGogh and Georgia O'Keeffe and I often use their work as inspiration in my own. I love to paint on canvas with acrylics and work in a variety of mediums including printmaking, photography and computer art.

Along with decorating John Adams Academy with scholar artwork on a regular basis we will also be posting scholar work regularly in our John Adams Academy Artsonia Gallery. Check out the links to the right to visit the online gallery or find out how to get connected to your scholar's artwork on Artsonia. If you haven't gotten your scholar's login information for Artsonia please email me at elizabeth.dentzer@johnadamsacademy.org and let me know your scholar's name, grade and classroom teacher's name. I can send that login info to you and you can get connected! You can also join my Parent Square page to get regular updates about artists of the month and other gallery displays that we put up throughout the school. I will also post volunteer needs there.

Thank you for your support! Keep Creating!
