Clemmer, James » Dean of Scholars

Dean of Scholars

Mr. Clemmer has lived in the greater Sacramento area since 2001; he joined John Adams Academy in 2014 and currently has over ten years of educational experience. Throughout his time here, Mr. Clemmer has been able to assist with growth of the physical education and athletics programs at John Adams Academy. In the summer of 2016, he co-developed the Make It Happen (MIH) program which highlights our Ten Core Values, for any scholar, teacher or parent that exemplifies one of our core values.

He and his wife, Jackie are grateful to have two inspiring and energetic children which attend John Adams Academy. Mr. Clemmer met Jackie while attending CSU Sacramento, completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.  He completed two of his three credentials within the pedagogy of physical education and adapted physical education; his administrative credential was obtained through Sacramento County Office of Education.

Mr. Clemmer is currently a board member for the California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAHPERD). He enjoys researching innovative ways to encourage movement for all ages as an individual or as a family, establishing a foundation through engaging scholars to understand the importance of choosing to stay physically active throughout their lives.
