Parents Corner

Coming Soon!

Our academy maintains the philosophy that parents are the primary educators of their children. Education is more than academics. One might call it an ongoing cultivation of a person through the pursuit of knowing and understanding both oneself and the world in which one lives. While much is naturally passed on through the daily process of parenting, we also encourage parents to ask thoughtful questions and actively partner with classroom educators to enrich each child's academic journey.

Here are some reading suggestions:

  • Read a "KEEP" book your scholar is reading this year. Use it as a chance to spark curiosity and meaningful conversations  as you discover great literature together. Keep Book List
  • Explore our roots by reading A Thomas Jefferson Education and discovering the ideas that inspired our Academy!
  • Pursue lifelong learning with personal reading: For the Children's Sake by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay, The Read Aloud Family by Sarah Mackenzie, The Well Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer
