Athletics at John Adams Academy - Roseville builds more than strength – they forge character. Middle School scholars participate in education-based athletics in the Sierra Foothill Middle School Athletic League. High School scholars participate in the Central Valley California League and follow the standards set forth by the CIF. From the classroom to the field or court our scholar-athletes grow as disciplined, virtuous leaders committed to teamwork and service.

The arts are essential to shaping well-rounded servant leaders. Middle school scholars explore Art, Drama, Music, and PE through the Exploratory Wheel, while high school scholars fulfill their Visual & Performing Arts credits beginning in 9th grade. Advanced Band, Choir, Drama, and Art courses allow scholars to refine their talents, with our premier choir, Virtus™, performing in the community and on annual trips that blend expression with service.

Our classical curriculum shapes scholars into virtuous leaders through the study of timeless works and rigorous academics. Middle school scholars explore literature like Animal Farm and Prince Caspian while building a strong foundation in math, science, Latin, logic, and leadership. In high school, they delve into the great books—from The Iliad to The Gulag Archipelago—and excel in honors and AP-prep courses.

Learning extends beyond the classroom through meaningful traditions and transformative experiences. Scholars celebrate community and leadership with events like Senior Formal and Academy Service Days, while the Senior Capstone and Philadelphia trip mark the culmination of their academic journey. These experiences connect scholarship with service, giving scholars the opportunity to reflect, lead, and engage with America’s founding ideals.
