Jean Pagnone

Board Trustee

Jean Pagnone is a dedicated servant leader whose thinking has largely been shaped by her late father, her faith, and Frederic Bastiat.  Committed to preserving traditional values, promoting limited government, and providing an education that values the success of every child while seeking to strengthen parent partnership in education, her heart lies in mentoring the next generation of leaders.

Born and raised in Sacramento, Mrs. Pagnone and her husband, Louis, have called Placer County home for over 20 years. Their daughter is a graduate of John Adams Academy, and their son is currently a senior at the Academy.

As she grew up, Mrs. Pagnone’s father would take her to the library most every Saturday, where she would check out a stack of books.  Her journey as a lifelong scholar began in that library with the first book she read and the subsequent ones she devoured. Those books and the many discussions she shared with her father, who was also an avid reader, instilled in her a great love of history and shaped her views on faith, family, and freedom. It should be noted that service to country is important as her lineage traces back a history of men serving in the United States Army.

At 18, she left home for college, where she began her studies as a biology major with the intent of becoming a physician.  Unfortunately, her aversion to blood and bad smells caused her to abandon that idea, and she instead pursued a degree in the subject she loved:  history.

For more than ten years, Mrs. Pagnone has been a well-respected business owner and firearms instructor. Her time in Placer County has given her the privilege of being a tireless volunteer for causes close to her heart. Mrs. Pagnone is the President of South Placer RWF, has served her community as a board member of the Placer County Taxpayers Association, and is on the West Placer MAC.

You will also find her as an occasional opinion contributor to the California Globe and as a local speaker addressing groups on education issues, the importance of voting, and how we can protect and preserve our Constitutional values.
