Lauren is thrilled to join the Board of Trustees. She grew up locally in Cameron Park, where she had the wonderful gift of being shaped by her parents who felt faith and knowledge would prepare her for a life of service and a lifelong love of learning.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from California Baptist University. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Lauren also maintained a music scholarship playing French Horn in the University Choir and Orchestra. Lauren’s educational path continued to Midwestern University where she completed a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies, where she was also awarded the distinction of Student PA of the Year in recognition of her service to the homeless medical clinic.
Translating knowledge into tangible acts of service is central to Lauren’s ethos. She has volunteered on medical mission trips to the country of Haiti. She has also served her community by working as a Family Practice and Emergency Room Physician Assistant. She currently sees and treats patients in the Urgent Care setting. When not employing her talents in medicine, Lauren can often be found volunteering at John Adams Academy.
Lauren is passionate about creating and nurturing a culture of moral and academic excellence within her own home and in her children’s schooling through John Adams Academy. She understands the unique position that John Adams Academy holds within its surrounding communities, and wishes to uphold and protect the Classical education that gives this school its esteemed standing. Her abiding love of reading has deepened her appreciation for America’s founding principles and the importance of personal virtue.
Lauren currently resides in El Dorado Hills with her husband and three daughters.
