I am very excited to be at John Adams Academy this year. I take my role as a teacher seriously, and I am committed to assisting you and the school community in supporting your scholar's academic success. Math is all around us: in nature, when shopping at the store, while listening to our favorite music, playing video games, participating in sports, and much more. We just need to take the time to discover it.
I graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2005 with a degree in Elementary Education. I spent my first four years teaching fifth grade, and then twelve years I taught sixth grade. This is my second year at John Adams Academy teaching middle school math. I have been happily married for twenty-five years to an amazing and wonderful woman. Together, we have six children, ranging from 11 to 24 years old, and three grandchildren, with another on the way.
I was born and raised in Southern California, moved to Utah in 2006, and lived there for three years. In 2009, I relocated to Missouri and currently live north of Kansas City. I love to travel, camp, hike, read, cook, spend time with my family, and cheer on the Los Angeles Dodgers. I also enjoy learning about what makes this country great and exploring what we can do to continue making it even better.
