Mrs. Tuttle joined JAA for the 2024-2025 school year as she could not pass up the opportunity to teach at a classically based school. Prior to this, she loved her eight years teaching 5th and 6th grade in her local Idaho school district.
She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University- Idaho, and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governor’s University. Over the years she has taught all core subjects but has consistently taught American history, government, and geography.
Mrs. Tuttle is thrilled to teach 8th grade Humanities. A lifelong advocate of the great books, her passion began in 4th grade, when many mornings she walked to school early to take part in book discussions as a member of “Junior Great Books.”
Together with her husband, she has raised six children, including two sets of twins. Her favorite mothering memories include nightly story time and playing in the nearest body of water. Besides reading and being with her family, her hobbies include all kinds of outdoor recreation, health and holistic medicine, and playing the piano.
