I joined John Adams Academy in 2025-2026, and I am honored to be on a team committed to restoring America's heritage through classical leadership education. Before coming here, I taught Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Algebra I & II, and Geometry for five years at Orange Lutheran High School (a private Christian institution) and one year at Canyon High School (public). In addition to teaching, I’ve spent over a decade coaching indoor and beach volleyball at both school and club levels, competing personally at the highest amateur levels.
Prior to my work in education, I served as a cyberspace officer in the U.S. Air Force for seven years, where I developed deep experience in leadership and IT operations. I later applied those skills at Blizzard Entertainment in Irvine, California, leading global IT projects and programs in video game development and live events. These diverse experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of mentorship, discipline, and purpose-driven learning.
I’m passionate about lifelong learning and the pursuit of truth. While I seek understanding, I find meaning in sharing knowledge and serving scholars who are eager to grow in both character and capability.
I’ve been married to my wife, Angelyn, for 15 years—she and I met during our service in the Air Force. Her steady faith has guided me toward a life anchored in service: first to God, then to family, and finally to country. I am deeply grateful to be part of John Adams Academy, where I hope to help shape servant leaders who will become faithful stewards of liberty.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with Angelyn and our two daughters—hiking, swimming, camping, reading, and playing board games. I also have a keen interest in personal finance and behavioral economics, especially as they relate to goal-setting and self-mastery. A book that continues to inspire my thinking is The Founder's Bible, which connects Scripture to the writings and wisdom of America’s Founding Fathers.
